The Craft + Compass Guide Map
Executive Function + ADHD Coaching
Coaching can help you identify life goals, barriers, and strategies to reach them. A coach acts as a sounding board, helping you brainstorm, problem-solve, and focus on solutions. In some ways, a coach can be like your own executive assistant helping you figure out how to manage daily life tasks. At the Craft + Compass, coaching is specifically tailored to support neurodivergent folks, those with ADHD, and those struggling with executive dysfunction in general. Read more about it here.
Mental Health Counseling + Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is provided by a state-licensed counselor and is focused on assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and other social, emotional, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Learn more about it here.
Crafty Coaching + Craft Therapy
Craft + Compass developed from the intersection between expressive arts and mental health, recognizing the power of creativity to find innovative solutions to everyday problems, and the healing benefits of discovering neurodivergent ways of communicating and connecting with the self and the world. Our crafty coaching services aren't just about suggesting strategies to add to your to-do list; they're about collaborating with you to actually create and implement personalized, practical solutions, systems, and self-care. What Can Coaching Do For Me?
It can help with
Accomplishing those tedious day-to-day tasks like household duties, paying bills, organization, time management, and self-care.
Exploring what it means to be neurodivergent and to have a brain that is "wired differently." Finding strategies to manage the overwhelming chaos and work with (not against) your neurodivergence.
For those times when you're frozen in analysis paralysis, feel like you're drowning, or are so overwhelmed you don't even know where or how to begin.
Executive functioning refers to the processes in the brain responsible for goal-directed behavior (executing tasks and getting stuff done). It encompasses crucial skills like working memory, attention, planning, prioritization, organization, time management, emotional regulation, self-awareness, cognitive flexibility, and impulse control among others. Learn more about executive function here.
Prioritizing assignments, effectively utilizing visuals and planners, managing long-term projects, overcoming procrastination, maintaining an organized workspace, and improving study skills.
Welcome to the Neurodiverge-Nerd Herd
“One way to understand neurodiversity is to think in terms of human operating systems--just because a PC is not running Windows doesn't mean that it's broken.”
— Steve Silberman
